Privacy policy

I-Vanish is an ephemeral Android privacy browser. This policy explains the limited information the app handles, where it goes, and what remains outside the app’s control.

Information handled on your device

Web pages necessarily process addresses, page content, and information you choose to enter. Private tabs, cookies, Web Storage, cache, service workers, form data, and browsing history are isolated for the current ephemeral session and cleared when that session is destroyed. Android and WebView may still retain operating-system-level diagnostics outside the app’s direct control.

If you choose a file for upload or download a file, Android’s scoped document interfaces grant access only to the selected item or destination. I-Vanish does not request broad storage access.

Proxy discovery and network routing

On each fresh launch, the app downloads public HTTPS-proxy candidates from live third-party feeds and sends test requests through candidates to measure availability, TLS latency, and transfer speed. Feed operators receive ordinary source-fetch requests. Tested public-proxy operators may see your network address and test-connection metadata. The active proxy can see connection metadata, while destination sites see the proxy exit address. HTTPS protects page contents in transit unless a trusted certificate or device is compromised.

Activated proxy endpoints are locally represented by hashed keys and excluded from reuse for 30 days. This blacklist stays on your device and is not an account identifier.

Websites and public proxies

Websites you visit may collect information under their own policies, including information you submit, sign-in details, browser and network signals, and behavioral data. Public proxies are independent, untrusted infrastructure and have their own practices. I-Vanish does not control either party.

Permissions and device access

The app blocks local/private network requests, third-party cookies, known tracker hosts, mixed content, screenshots, and common WebView device permissions such as camera, microphone, and geolocation. These protections reduce exposure but cannot guarantee anonymity or defeat every fingerprinting or correlation technique.

Data sharing, sale, and retention

I-Vanish has no account database and does not sell personal information. It does not intentionally transmit browsing history to an I-Vanish backend. Network requests still reach proxy-feed operators, tested or active public proxies, and the websites and services you choose to use. Ephemeral browser data is retained only for the active session; activated-route blacklist hashes remain locally for 30 days.

Children

I-Vanish is a general-purpose browser and is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly create profiles of children or collect account information.

Security and limitations

No browser or network route can promise complete anonymity or security. Sophisticated fingerprinting, TLS and network characteristics, behavior, logins, submitted information, and compromised infrastructure can correlate activity. For serious privacy needs, prefer Tor or a reputable VPN or paid proxy.
